Barley Oak is a restaurant located on the North Shore. The beer selection was plentiful but didn’t have many local crafts brews. The food is decent, but my experience was mixed. I ordered the Reuben, which did not cover the bread halfway-covered with meat, and the potato salad was just alright. Unfortunately, the floors and bar felt dirty and sticky, could’ve been the humidity from outdoors as it was a very warm afternoon. The bathroom was also far from clean, with a sticky floor that made walking unpleasant . The dining experience was passable, with bartenders who were okay but not particularly attentive. The conversation from two girls centered on their age and relationships. Overall, it's not a place I'd revisit. Despite the historic charm, the cleanliness and dining experience left much to be desired. We may give it another try in cooler months
Go for the drinks. The tap selection is impressive, to say the least. Knowledgeable staff complements a cozy atmosphere with a touch of refinement. The perfect place to unwind or let loose. You can always find a good time at the Barkey Oak.
Great local beer bar. They have a great selection of draft beers. Really nice view of the lake front. Good spot to stop when walking , biking or just driving through. The food is better then average pub food. I highly recommend the Ruben sandwich or the shrimp tacos, both are really good.
The Atmosphere was very modern and cool, the staff and service was over the top good in a great way!! Out waiter I believe was named Justin and he was just aweosme!! The food was sooooo good its fine dining food for not so bad a price!! You must try the Pork Belly Appetizer and try the burger with frys!! Great place over all!! And after your done your literally 5 mins from the lakefront. Go relax and take in the scenery!
Man! I don't think I gotta post a picture of this place because there are enough already . This place is amazing! The staff is great and it is a place locals like to go to. So, for a quiet evening in a chill spot, this is the place! If you want 1 gallon of hurricane in a punch bowl, well, the other side of the lake might be more to your liking.
Haven't been here in a very long time. Still the same though. They did fix the stairway lighting issue. Food is pretty good. Get extra napkins as the kitchen has a major problem with throwing sauce all over the burger and platter. Also, bar service can be slow, so be patient.

Great beer selection, great Rubin sandwich! Friendly knowledgeable bar keep. Small room up top inside. Don’t offer flights of beer. For such a quality bar that’s the only thing I’d change
